My Turn with the ACE Brand Deluxe Back Stabilizer
Hey gang! As a hardworking manual laborer, my back has definately sung some pain tunes for a couple of years now. I decided to give this ACE Brand Deluxe Back Stabilizer a shot after hearing your fantastic reviews about it. All things considered, it did its job well, but I felt it was just a tad too restricting for me, especially when performing tasks involving constant motion.
The sizing fit perfectly, as many of you pointed out, and the compression felt right on the money. Where it lost me was in durability and sweat management. It started showing wear and tear faster than I preferred and handling a full day’s sweat proved a bit challenging too.
For those reasons, I moved onto the McDavid Back Support Brace – the breathable material seemed to manage perspiration better and it seemed sturdier over time. Plus, I found it provides much-needed support without overly restricting movement. Of course, always best to consult with healthcare pros for what’s right for your individual situation!
Anyone else tried the McDavid brace? Or have other alternatives worked better for you in similar circumstances?

Membereveryone, I totally feel your pain (literally and figuratively!) with the struggle of back issues. I’ve been using the ACE Brand Deluxe Back Stabilizer since my surgery a year ago, and it’s been a decent companion for me. My surgeon even gave the thumbs up for this brand, and luckily for me, it fits into my insurance’s coverage plan.
What I liked is the level of support it gives without feeling too restrictive. I was worried about sizing initially as sometimes these things can be off, but I found their size charts to be pretty accurate. The adjustable compression is snug yet comfortable enough to wear throughout my workday without causing any additional discomfort.
I found that wearing it for shorter periods during the first few days works best while breaking it in. Also doing some gentle stretching exercises recommended by my physical therapist has complemented its use quite well.
However, remember folks – what works for one doesn’t necessarily work for all. Always consult your healthcare professionals before trying any new products – this was just my personal experience!
Has anyone else noticed improvement with their posture after using this? Or perhaps seen results with other brands that offer similar support?
